HOCUS POCUS 3 (2025)

🧙‍♀️ “Hocus Pocus 3” brings back the iconic Sanderson sisters for another magical adventure, blending nostalgia, Halloween thrills, and a new generation of mischief. The witches are back, and so is the magic—only this time, the stakes are higher, and the charm is more magical than ever!

Plot Overview:
Set once again in the mysterious town of Salem, Hocus Pocus 3 picks up years after the Sanderson sisters’ last return. This time, their magic is more powerful than ever, but so is the threat they face. A new group of teens accidentally awakens the witches from their slumber after discovering an ancient, forgotten spellbook hidden beneath the cemetery’s oldest crypt.

As the Sanderson sisters—Winnie (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker), and Mary (Kathy Najimy)—reunite to unleash a wave of Halloween chaos, a new generation of young witches, led by the resourceful Zoe (played by Maddie Ziegler), attempts to stop them. The film explores the battle between the old ways of witchcraft and the new, and the growing power of the younger generation as they discover that the magic of Salem isn’t just in the past—it’s a living, breathing part of the future.

Performance:
The return of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy as the beloved Sanderson sisters is nothing short of delightful. Their performances are as wickedly charming and hilarious as ever, with each actress bringing her unique flavor of humor to the role. The dynamic between them is as fun as it was in the original films, mixing chaos with sisterly love.

The younger cast shines as well, with Maddie Ziegler stealing the spotlight as Zoe, the young witch with big shoes to fill. The film strikes a great balance between the nostalgia of the original trilogy and the excitement of fresh faces who bring new energy and adventure to the story.

Direction & Writing:
Directed by Anne Fletcher, who previously worked on Hocus Pocus 2, the film maintains the charm and humor fans have come to love. The screenplay by Jen D’Angelo expertly weaves together the timeless appeal of the original with a fresh, modern twist. The story cleverly explores themes of legacy, empowerment, and the magic that exists in us all, while ensuring that the jokes and gags hit with perfect timing.
