EXTINCTION (2015)

Extinction (2015) is a post-apocalyptic horror-thriller that blends emotional drama with chilling survival horror. Directed by Miguel Ángel Vivas, the film presents a bleak future where humanity has been nearly wiped out by a devastating viral outbreak — turning most of the population into savage, zombie-like creatures.

Years after the collapse of civilization, two former friends — Patrick (Matthew Fox) and Jack (Jeffrey Donovan) — live in isolation in a frozen, snow-covered town with Jack’s young daughter Lu (Quinn McColgan). The two men, once close, are now bitterly estranged due to a mysterious past event. But their fragile peace is shattered when the infected, once thought extinct, reappear — stronger, smarter, and more terrifying than before.

As the creatures close in, Patrick and Jack are forced to confront not only the monsters outside but the emotional scars and secrets that haunt them. With Lu caught in the middle, survival will depend not just on guns and fortitude — but on forgiveness and trust.
