In a desolate, post-apocalyptic New York City, Dr. Robert Neville (Will Smith) is the last known human survivor after a failed cure for cancer mutates into a deadly virus, wiping out most of humanity and transforming the rest into savage, light-sensitive creatures known as Darkseekers.
