Triple Threat (2019)

Triple Threat (2019)
Triple Threat (2019) is an adrenaline-fueled action film that delivers exactly what fans of martial arts and shootouts crave. Directed by Jesse V. Johnson, this film is a dream come true for fans of Asian and Western action stars, featuring a powerhouse cast: Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Tiger Chen, Scott Adkins, Michael Jai White, and Michael Bisping.
The plot is straightforward but effective: a billionaire’s daughter (Celina Jade) becomes the target of a ruthless crime syndicate, prompting a band of mercenaries to protect her. While the story lacks depth or originality, it serves as a vehicle for intense action sequences. The fight choreography is brutal, fast-paced, and raw—highlighting each star’s martial arts prowess. From hand-to-hand combat to high-octane shootouts, Triple Threat rarely lets up.
Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais steal the show with their unique styles—Muay Thai and Silat—while Scott Adkins brings his usual intensity as the cold-blooded villain. The film’s biggest strength is its action; unfortunately, the pacing can feel uneven, and the dialogue is often clunky. However, fans won’t mind, as the film is more about fists than feelings.
This movie isn’t here to win Oscars—it’s here to kick ass, and it does that very well. If you’re a martial arts movie lover, Triple Threat is a must-watch explosion of fists, bullets, and testosterone.
