The Goonies (1985) is a classic adventure-comedy film directed by Richard Donner and produced by Steven Spielberg. The story follows a group of kids from a neighborhood in Astoria, Oregon, who call themselves “The Goonies.” As they face the possibility of losing their homes to foreclosure, they embark on a treasure hunt after discovering an ancient pirate map that leads to the fabled treasure of One-Eyed Willy, a legendary pirate.

The group consists of Mikey (Sean Astin), the optimistic leader; Chunk (Jeff Cohen), the comical, overweight kid; Data (Ke Huy Quan), the gadget-savvy inventor; and mouthy, tough girl Andy (Kerri Green), among others. Their adventure takes them through a series of challenges and traps as they evade a family of criminals, the Fratellis, who are also after the treasure.
