Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006)

Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006) is the fun-filled sequel to Ice Age (2002), bringing back Manny (Ray Romano), Sid (John Leguizamo), and Diego (Denis Leary) as they face a new challenge—the Ice Age is ending, and melting glaciers threaten their world. As they journey to safety, Manny grapples with the possibility of being the last woolly mammoth, until he meets Ellie (Queen Latifah), a quirky mammoth who believes she’s a possum.
The film keeps the humor and heart of the original while introducing exciting new characters like Ellie and her mischievous possum brothers, Crash and Eddie. The animation is improved, offering vibrant landscapes and action-packed sequences. Scrat, the beloved acorn-obsessed squirrel, steals the show once again with his hilarious side adventures.
While The Meltdown is more comedic and less emotional than the first film, it still delivers a heartfelt message about family, change, and survival. It’s an entertaining sequel that keeps the spirit of the franchise alive, making it a great watch for kids and adults alike.
