The Ring is a supernatural horror film directed by Gore Verbinski, based on the Japanese film Ringu (1998).
The story follows Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts), a journalist investigating a mysterious videotape that allegedly causes viewers to die seven days after watching it. When her niece dies under mysterious circumstances, Rachel watches the tape herself and begins experiencing terrifying visions.

The film is known for its eerie atmosphere, psychological horror, and the iconic scene of Samara crawling out of the TV.
