Plot Summary:

A Christmas Carol follows the miserly and cold-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge, a businessman who despises Christmas and human kindness. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him that if he does not change his ways, he will suffer a terrible fate in the afterlife.

Left to right: Ebenezer Scrooge (JIM CARREY), Tiny Tim (GARY OLDMAN)

To help Scrooge redeem himself, Marley sends three spirits:

  1. The Ghost of Christmas Past – Shows Scrooge his childhood and youth, revealing how he once had love and joy but became bitter over time.
  2. The Ghost of Christmas Present – Reveals how others celebrate Christmas, including the poor but happy Cratchit family, whose sickly son Tiny Tim embodies the true spirit of Christmas.
  3. The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come (Future) – A terrifying figure who shows Scrooge a vision of his own lonely and unloved death, causing him to realize the consequences of his greed.

Awakening on Christmas morning, a changed Scrooge embraces generosity, donates to charity, helps the Cratchit family, and spreads holiday cheer, proving that it’s never too late to change.
