Friends Season 1 follows the lives of six best friends living in New York: Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe.
Rachel Green, a wealthy woman, runs away from her wedding and turns to her high school best friend Monica Geller to start a new independent life. She gets a job as a waitress at Central Perk and begins learning how to support herself.
Ross Geller, Monica’s brother, is struggling with a recent divorce after his wife realizes she is a lesbian. He has secretly loved Rachel since high school but faces obstacles in confessing his feelings.
Monica, a talented yet perfectionist chef, is searching for love but faces constant romantic disappointments.
Chandler Bing, known for his sarcasm, has a stable job he dislikes and struggles with commitment issues in relationships.
Joey Tribbiani, an aspiring actor, tries to make it big but often fails in auditions and relationships.
Phoebe Buffay, the quirky and kind-hearted musician, makes a living as a masseuse while singing eccentric songs at Central Perk.
