Plot Summary:
Doctor Strange: Incursion of Insanity continues the story of Stephen Strange following the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. After the perilous use of the Darkhold and the devastating confrontation with Wanda Maximoff, the multiverse is thrown into chaos. Realities begin colliding in catastrophic events known as incursions, threatening to unravel the very fabric of existence.
Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), burdened by guilt over his role in destabilizing reality, must team up with Wong (Benedict Wong) and America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez) to restore balance. Chavez’s unique ability to traverse dimensions becomes a vital asset as they navigate through collapsing worlds. Together, they face twisted, chaotic realities where alternate versions of Strange and other allies emerge, their minds and bodies corrupted by the incursion’s dark energy.

Among the most formidable foes is a malevolent variant of Strange himself—a terrifying reflection of what Stephen could become if consumed by power and madness. This dark counterpart, driven by despair and rage, threatens to destroy all realities in a bid to dominate the multiverse.
The film delves into the psychological and moral consequences of wielding immense magical power. Strange must confront not only external threats but also his own capacity for corruption.
