Toolbox Murders (2004)

In Toolbox Murders, horror master Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre) delivers a terrifying reimagining of the 1978 cult slasher. Set inside the crumbling Lusman Arms apartment building, the film follows Nell (Angela Bettis), a newcomer who quickly senses something is very wrong with her new home.

Behind its gothic façade, the building hides a gruesome history—and someone, or something, is murdering tenants with tools from a twisted collection. As the body count rises, Nell races to uncover the truth buried in the building’s architecture: ancient symbols, secret rooms, and a dark legacy tied to blood rituals and black magic.

With its eerie atmosphere, graphic violence, and occult undertones, Toolbox Murders is a brutal, claustrophobic descent into urban horror, where every hammer, drill, or nail gun could be a weapon—and no wall is safe.
