Mountain (2009)
In Race to Witch Mountain, Dwayne Johnson stars as Jack Bruno, a Las Vegas cab driver who finds himself caught up in an extraordinary adventure when two teenagers with mysterious powers enter his cab. The teens, revealed to be aliens on the run from a government agency, enlist Jack’s help to reach their spaceship and return home before Earth is threatened by an impending invasion.
While Race to Witch Mountain is a reimagining of the 1975 Disney classic, Johnson’s star power adds a fresh energy to the film. His chemistry with the two young leads (AnnaSophia Robb and Alexander Ludwig) is engaging, and his character’s transformation from a jaded ex-con to a heroic protector gives the story emotional weight.
