Set several years after the events of The Secrets of Dumbledore, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) is drawn into a new global crisis when a mysterious magical vault—hidden deep beneath the ruins of an ancient wizarding civilization—is accidentally unlocked, unleashing a forgotten force older than Grindelwald himself.

With magical creatures behaving erratically and natural laws bending around the globe, Newt must team up again with Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston), his loyal allies Jacob and Queenie, and a reluctant Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law), who suspects that the vault’s magic may be tied to a prophecy he once feared would come true.

Meanwhile, Gellert Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen), still in hiding and gathering followers, plans to use the chaos to reignite his war for wizarding dominance.
