Years after his first tournament victory in China, Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) has grown into a disciplined but conflicted teen. When tragedy strikes his family, Dre returns to Beijing to reunite with his old mentor, Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), who is facing his own personal demons. As their bond is rekindled, so is Dre’s spirit — but peace won’t last long.

A powerful underground martial arts league has taken root in the city, led by a mysterious and ruthless master who challenges traditional Kung Fu values. When one of Dre’s close friends is injured in a brutal street match, Dre is pulled into a world of secret fights, lost philosophies, and a new kind of warrior — one without honor.
