Ice Ace (2025)

In the high-stakes world of international espionage, Ice Ace follows the story of a skilled and fearless former CIA operative, Alexander “Ace” Shaw (played by a renowned action star like Dwayne Johnson), who is forced back into the game after a mission goes horribly wrong. Retired and living a quiet life in the Arctic, Ace is pulled back into the fray when a deadly weapons syndicate threatens global peace.

When an experimental weapon—a weather-altering device capable of plunging the world into a new Ice Age—falls into the wrong hands, Ace is called upon to stop the catastrophe. With nothing but his wits and ice-cold precision, he must navigate through treacherous terrain, face dangerous mercenaries, and uncover a conspiracy that runs deeper than anyone could imagine.

Ace teams up with an unlikely ally, an expert hacker named Mia (played by Scarlett Johansson), who holds the key to shutting down the weapon. Together, they must race against time and face down their own personal demons as they fight to prevent a global meltdown.

Megamind (2010)

Plot:

Megamind tells the story of a brilliant but misunderstood supervillain, Megamind (voiced by Will Ferrell), who, after years of attempting to defeat his nemesis, Metro Man (voiced by Brad Pitt), finally succeeds in his goal of defeating him. However, once Megamind has accomplished his lifelong ambition, he finds himself with no purpose left to fulfill and becomes bored with life. His victory over Metro Man turns out to be hollow, and he begins to question his existence.

To fill the void, Megamind creates a new superhero, Titan (voiced by Jonah Hill), in hopes of challenging himself. However, things take a dark turn when Titan turns out to be more dangerous than expected and begins causing destruction in Metro City. Megamind must now face the consequences of his own creation and attempt to stop Titan from destroying the city he once sought to rule.

Through this process, Megamind learns valuable lessons about identity, responsibility, and redemption. As he begins to embrace his true self and what it means to be a hero, he must put his intelligence to the test to stop Titan and save the city. In the end, Megamind discovers that being a hero isn’t about power or fame, but about doing the right thing for the greater good.

Minions (2015)

Minions is a spin-off of the Despicable Me franchise that explores the origins of the lovable, yellow, and mischievous creatures known as Minions. The movie takes us on a journey through time, showing how the Minions have always been in search of the most evil villain to serve throughout history. From the time of the dinosaurs to ancient Egypt, they have been loyal to the worst rulers—yet, despite their best efforts, the Minions always seem to end up causing chaos instead of helping their masters.

The story focuses on three main Minions—Kevin, Stuart, and Bob—who embark on an adventure to find a new villain to serve. After leaving their hidden underground lair, they stumble upon the ambitious and villainous Scarlett Overkill (voiced by Sandra Bullock), the world’s first female supervillain. She promises them the chance to serve the most evil master ever: herself. But things don’t go as planned when the Minions’ antics lead them into a series of misadventures that threaten Scarlett’s plans.

As they navigate their way through dangerous situations, including a royal heist in London, the Minions must find a way to redeem themselves, save their friends, and prove their loyalty in the face of overwhelming odds.

The Secret Life of Pets (2016)

The Secret Life of Pets takes a playful and comedic look at what pets do when their owners are away. The story is centered around Max (voiced by Louis C.K.), a lovable Jack Russell Terrier, who lives a happy and carefree life in a Manhattan apartment. Max’s world is turned upside down when his owner, Katie, adopts a large and unruly dog named Duke (voiced by Eric Stonestreet). The two dogs quickly form a rivalry, each vying for Katie’s attention and affection.

When the two dogs get lost in the streets of New York, they encounter a group of street-smart animals, led by a sassy rabbit named Snowball (voiced by Kevin Hart), who leads a rebellion against pet owners. Meanwhile, Max’s friends—who live in the same building—are living their own secret lives while their owners are gone, ranging from the cool and laid-back Chloe the cat (voiced by Lake Bell), to the neurotic pug, Mel (voiced by Bobby Moynihan). As Max and Duke embark on a journey to get back home, they must work together to outwit Snowball and his army of misfit pets.

Along the way, Max learns about friendship, loyalty, and what it truly means to be part of a family. His bond with Duke grows stronger, and together, they realize that their differences can be overcome when they work as a team.

The Smurfs (2011)

Plot:

The Smurfs brings the beloved blue creatures to the big screen in a live-action/CGI hybrid film. The story follows the classic Smurfs, small blue beings who live in a peaceful village deep in the forest, led by Papa Smurf (voiced by Jonathan Winters). Their world is disrupted when the villainous Gargamel (played by Hank Azaria), a wicked wizard, discovers their village and chases them through a portal that transports them to modern-day New York City.

They seek the help of Patrick Winslow (played by Neil Patrick Harris), a marketing executive who is caught up in their crazy adventure, along with his wife, Grace (played by Jayma Mays). Patrick and Grace are trying to figure out their own lives while helping the tiny Smurfs find their way home. The Boss Baby (2017)

However, when Boss Baby needs Tim’s help to carry out his mission, the two brothers must put aside their differences and team up. Together, they infiltrate Puppy Co., navigating through funny and daring situations while learning about love, family, and the importance of working together.

As the mission unfolds, Tim and Boss Baby’s bond strengthens, and Tim realizes that his new baby brother may not be so bad after all. By the end of the story, Tim learns that family is not just about who gets the most attention, but about love, support, and understanding.

Moana (2016)

When the island faces environmental dangers, including dying crops and failing fish catches, Moana discovers that her ancestors once voyaged across the ocean but stopped when the great demigod, Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson), stole the heart of Te Fiti, the island goddess. This theft unleashed a curse that has plagued the ocean ever since. Feeling that it’s her destiny, Moana embarks on a daring journey to find Maui and restore the heart of Te Fiti to save her people.

Along the way, she faces challenges and learns vital lessons about bravery, self-reliance, and leadership. Despite being a reluctant hero, Moana eventually learns to trust herself and her abilities, discovering that true leadership is not just about taking charge, but about understanding and connecting with the people she serves.
