Kill ‘Em All 2 (2024)

Kill ‘Em All 2 (2024)
Kill ‘Em All 2 (2024) is a direct-to-video action film, a sequel to Kill ‘Em All (2017). Set seven years after the first film, it follows retired CIA agent Phillip (Jean-Claude Van Damme) and his estranged daughter Vanessa (Jacqueline Fernandez), living off the grid in southern Italy. Their peaceful life is disrupted when Vlad Petrovic (Andrei Lenart), the brother of a Serbian crime lord Phillip killed in the first film, tracks them down seeking revenge. Phillip and Vanessa, aided by villagers and agents Holman (Peter Stormare) and Sanders (Maria Conchita Alonso), engage in a relentless fight against Vlad’s mercenaries. The plot involves spy games, a bank heist, and double-crosses, centered around a valuable flash drive. The film features frequent, violent action scenes—shootouts, stabbings, and martial arts—with around three dozen deaths, some gruesome (e.g., throat stabs, beatings). Despite Van Damme’s committed performance and decent fight choreography, the script is formulaic, with poor cinematography and weak acting from supporting cast. Running at 85 minutes, it’s a serviceable but unmemorable DTV action flick, criticized for low stakes and resembling 1990s straight-to-video fare.
