Fast & Furious 9, also known as F9: The Fast Saga, directed by Justin Lin, cranks the franchise’s over-the-top action to new heights—literally. This ninth main installment reunites the family for another globe-trotting mission, this time involving rogue agents, magnet-powered car chases, and even a trip to space.

Vin Diesel returns as Dom Toretto, now living a quiet life with Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) and his son. But peace doesn’t last long. The arrival of Dom’s estranged brother Jakob (John Cena), a deadly assassin working with cyber-terrorist Cipher (Charlize Theron), sets the story in motion. What follows is an outrageous mix of stunts, explosions, and family drama that defies the laws of physics—and logic.

The film leans heavily into its signature themes of loyalty, redemption, and, of course, family. John Cena adds a fresh dynamic as Jakob, though his motivations feel thin at times. The action sequences are wild and entertaining—especially a magnetic car chase through Edinburgh and the much-talked-about space stunt with Roman and Tej, which proves the franchise truly has no boundaries.

While critics noted its increasingly cartoonish tone and convoluted plot, fans of the saga will find plenty to love. It’s loud, ridiculous, and proudly self-aware—exactly what you’d expect from Fast & Furious at this point.
