Pearl Harbor (2001)

“Pearl Harbor” is a war drama directed by Michael Bay, starring Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kate Beckinsale, and Alec Baldwin. The film centers around the infamous Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, which led to the United States’ entry into World War II.
The story follows two childhood friends, Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck) and Danny Walker (Josh Hartnett), who both join the U.S. Army Air Force. Rafe is sent to Britain on a volunteer mission, and while he is away, Danny grows close to Evelyn Johnson (Kate Beckinsale), a nurse at Pearl Harbor, eventually falling in love with her.

When Rafe is presumed dead during a mission in Britain, Evelyn and Danny start a relationship. However, Rafe returns to Pearl Harbor alive, leading to a complicated love triangle. The personal drama takes a backseat when the Japanese launch a surprise attack on the naval base, causing widespread destruction.
After the attack, Rafe and Danny put aside their differences and join the Doolittle Raid, a retaliatory bombing mission against Japan. The film follows their heroic journey, focusing on themes of love, sacrifice, and the cost of war.
