Section Eight is a gritty action thriller that dives headfirst into the world of covert operations, betrayal, and vengeance. Directed by Christian Sesma and featuring a solid cast led by Ryan Kwanten, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, and Scott Adkins, the film delivers high-octane sequences and raw intensity, though it occasionally stumbles with a predictable plot.

The story follows Jake Atherton (Ryan Kwanten), a former soldier whose life spirals out of control after the murder of his family. Seeking revenge, he takes justice into his own hands—only to end up in prison. That is, until a shadowy government organization known as “Section Eight” offers him a second chance: freedom in exchange for becoming a black ops assassin. But Jake quickly realizes he’s just a pawn in a much larger game.

The action is where Section Eight shines. With brutal fight choreography and fast-paced gun battles, fans of old-school action will find plenty to enjoy. Scott Adkins and Dolph Lundgren bring their trademark physicality, while Mickey Rourke adds some grizzled gravitas to the ensemble.
