Stargate is a sci-fi adventure film that kickstarted a beloved franchise. The story follows Dr. Daniel Jackson (James Spader), an Egyptologist who deciphers an ancient alien artifact known as the Stargate, a massive ring that creates a wormhole to another world. He joins a military team led by Colonel Jack O’Neil (Kurt Russell) on an expedition through the Stargate, landing on a mysterious desert planet ruled by the god-like tyrant Ra (Jaye Davidson).
