Resident Evil is a sci-fi horror film inspired by the popular video game series. The story follows Alice (Milla Jovovich), who wakes up in a mysterious mansion with no memory of who she is. She soon discovers that she is part of a team sent to contain a deadly virus outbreak in an underground research facility known as The Hive, operated by the Umbrella Corporation.
The virus has turned the facility’s staff into ravenous zombies, and as Alice, along with a group of commandos, navigates the deadly halls, they encounter mutated creatures, including the monstrous Licker. With time running out and the artificial intelligence Red Queen controlling the Hive, Alice slowly regains her memories, realizing that Umbrella Corporation is behind the outbreak.
