Big Jake (1971)
Big Jake is a classic Western starring John Wayne as Jacob “Big Jake” McCandles, a tough and legendary gunslinger who is forced out of retirement when his grandson is kidnapped by a ruthless gang led by John Fain (Richard Boone). The outlaws demand a hefty ransom, but instead of paying, Big Jake sets out on a dangerous rescue mission with his estranged sons, Patrick Wayne (James McCandles) and Christopher Mitchum (Michael McCandles).
As they track the gang across the rugged frontier, tensions rise between Jake and his sons, who see him as an old relic of a dying era. But as the mission unfolds, Big Jake proves that experience, grit, and a good rifle are still the best tools for survival.
