Plot Summary:
Siren is a dark fantasy drama set in the coastal town of Bristol Cove, a place known for its old legends of mermaids. When a mysterious young woman named Ryn (Eline Powell) arrives in town, she disrupts the quiet fishing community, revealing that mermaids are not just myths—they are real, dangerous, and searching for something.
Marine biologists Ben Pownall (Alex Roe) and Maddie Bishop (Fola Evans-Akingbola) become entangled in Ryn’s world, uncovering the truth about mermaids and the government’s secret involvement in their existence. As Ryn struggles to adapt to life on land, she reveals her predatory nature, raising questions about the balance between humans and the deep-sea creatures who have long remained hidden.
As the series unfolds, more mermaids arrive, conflicts arise between humans and the ocean’s mysterious beings, and the show explores themes of environmental destruction, survival, and forbidden love.
