In the cold depths of the ocean, the Soviet Union’s most advanced nuclear submarine, K-19, becomes a ticking time bomb when a catastrophic malfunction threatens the lives of its crew and the safety of the world. Set during the height of the Cold War, K-19: The Widowmaker is a gripping tale of survival, duty, and sacrifice.

The film follows Captain Alexei Vostrikov (Harrison Ford), who is assigned to command the K-19 after a series of previous incidents have left the submarine in disrepair. When a critical nuclear reactor failure occurs, Vostrikov and his crew, including executive officer Mikhail Polenin (Liam Neeson), are forced to make a harrowing choice between their own lives and the potential disaster that could result in a nuclear catastrophe.
